The MDCB maintains several standing committees whose members are content experts in the field of medical dosimetry.
Test Development Committee:
The Committee's responsibilities include refining test items submitted by item writers and conducting content reviews on the test.
Eligibility Committee:
The members of this committee review credentials submitted by applicants for certification and determine if the applicants have met the eligibility criteria.
Bylaws and Ethics Committee:
This committee refines and updates the MDCB bylaws, and attends to ethical issues as outlined in the "Ethical Standards of the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board".
Continuing Competence:
The broad responsibilities of this committee focus upon implementing the MDCB policies governing the mechanism for Certified Medical Dosimetrists to demonstrate continuing competence. This entails assigning credits to sponsor produced educational offerings and updating and refining the credit valuation criteria.
Publishing and Marketing:
This committee is responsible for preparing the "ITEMS" newsletter, advertisement of the exam, and other duties relating to information management.
Finance:

his committee is an oversight committee that is responsible for assisting the treasurer in financial matters.
