The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) will support the administering of the MDCB Certification exam internationally based on the following requirements:
- Initial request to offer the exam must be submitted in writing to the MDCB National Office and be no less than one calendar year from the MDCB exam date to be considered.
- The exam administering company must be able to secure a testing location, arrange for a proctor and confirm the security of the exam by offering a different version to international candidates due to the time difference.
- There must be a main contact person for administrative staff and the testing company to confirm and verify exam information.
- No less than 10 candidates must be eligible and approved to take the exam*
- If 10 applicants are not found to be eligible and approved to take the exam, the approved applicants may consider an alternate exam site, a refund of exam fees or apply exam fees to the following exam year.
- The application deadline for “complete” applications to be submitted and all eligibility requirements to be met is, February 1st of the application exam year.
- Administering the exam must be cost neutral to MDCB.
The MDCB understands there has been some confusion regarding the format of evaluation of foreign documentation. We need your information evaluated on a course by course basis.

*The MDCB Board has adopted a policy which will affect International applicants beginning with the 2007 exam. Beginning with the 2007 MDCB exam, it is the responsibility of International applicants to submit all required documentation in English and to demonstrate "foreign equivalency" of all credentials submitted. Foreign equivalency documentation must be provided by an organization recognized by the MDCB.
