The Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board of Directors (MDCB) provides three sets of four (4) practice tests to be used as study aids for the MDCB Certification Exam. Sets two and three are being provided for the first time in 2011. The questions making up the study tests are comprised of retired questions from the item data bank. Each practice test consists of approximately 35 questions and an answer key. Prometric, the MDCB's exam management partner, has reviewed the study questions for content appropriateness. They have compiled each study test package to closely resemble the actual exam in the type of questions encountered as well as the statistical difficulty. The questions have been reviewed by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). While some questions may refer to older equipment (eg. Co-60) the concepts questioned are relevant and applicable to the profession.

Each set of four Study Practice Tests can be purchased for US $100.00. The Study Practice Test package will be delivered to the buyer as a .pdf file via e-mail. The purchaser can print these pdf files from their own computer. Twenty Five (25%) of the net proceeds will be donated to the Gunilla Bentell Scholarship Fund to support education in Medical Dosimetry. The remaining proceeds will be used to fund future practice analysis studies designed to keep the exam current to the dynamic profession of Medical Dosimetry.
